MYSTIC TAN

WHAT IS DHA & HOW IS IT SAFE? |
|
DHA is dihydroxyacetone, a carbohydrate (monosaccharide sugar)
compound approved by the FDA for use in externally applied
sunless tanning solutions! DHA is usually derived from a
vegetable source like beets or sugar cane. Its properties
as a skin darkener were discovered in the 1920's but weren't
marketed as such until the 1960's. It was added to the
FDA's list of approved cosmetic ingredients in the 1970's. |

WHAT SHOULD I DO TO PREPARE FOR MYSTIC TAN? |
|
Shower, exfoliate, and shave a least 2 HOURS BEFORE your
session. Your shower and
shaving should be with bar soap, DIAL, IRISH
SPRING, or ZEST. These work
best as body washes, gels, creams, etc. block the spray!
NO DEODERANT! |

HOW LONG SHOULD I WAIT TO SHOWER AFTER MY MYSTIC TAN
SESSION? |
In order for the DHA to fully set, we recommend
waiting AT LEAST 4 HOURS before showering. Showering sooner may diminish
the intensity of your tan.
Working out, sweating, doing dishes, doing laundry, or
performing any activity involving water within the four hours after your
session may cause streaking and blotchiness. Swimming
pools/hot tubs have high chlorine
contents and ocean water has salt that will bleach the Mystic Tan
results and cause streaking, these should be avoided completely!! |

HOW MANY MYSTIC TAN SESSIONS WILL I NEED TO ACHIEVE THE
COLOR I WANT? |
|
You'll be tan after one session, but it may take additional
sessions to achieve your desired color. Once you reach
your ideal color, you should be able to maintain it by tanning
every four to five days. |

ARE THERE WAYS TO ENHANCE MYSTIC TAN RESULTS? |
Keeping your skin hydrated prior to tanning helps your skin absorb
Mystic Tan tanning solution! i.e. drinking plenty of water,
using a lotion with out mineral oil/petroleum HOWEVER,
DO NOT MOISTURIZE AFTER YOUR SHOWER THAT PREPARES YOU FOR YOUR
SESSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Frequently moisturizing after your session will also extend the
life of your tan. Apply moisturizer after showering, but
not in the four hours after your session.

Make sure any products that you put on your skin does
NOT have MINERAL OIL OR PETROLEUM, as it will hasten the fading
